As the EVP and Chief Standards and Accreditation Officer you will report to the President and CEO of AACSB International and serving as a member of the Executive Team, the EVP and Chief Standards and Accreditation Officer and provide strategic leadership across three primary areas:

  • Lead global standards-setting and related guidance. Ensure AACSB’s Global Standards for Business Education™ continue to define excellence and evolve in response to the changing needs of business and society. 
  • Set the accreditation strategy and oversee its implementation. Ensure AACSB accreditation remains rigorous, comprehensive, globally relevant, contextually responsive, and consistently applied.
  • Shape AACSB’s enterprise strategy. Share responsibility for advancing AACSB’s mission, organizational performance, and the future of business education globally. 

Key Responsibilities 

Global Standards Leadership 

  • Lead the vision, development, and continued evolution of AACSB’s Global Standards for Business Education™, ensuring they define excellence and remain responsive to developments in higher education, business, technology, workforce needs, quality assurance, and society. 
  • Lead the development of interpretive guidance that supports the consistent understanding and effective application of AACSB standards. 
  • Engage business schools, business leaders, learners, policymakers, quality assurance organizations, and other stakeholders to inform standards development and promote the adoption of AACSB standards. 
  • Partner with the Global Standards Committee to ensure appropriate governance in the development, review, recommendation, and approval of standards and related policies. 
  • Champion innovation, responsible leadership, societal impact, and emerging educational models through AACSB’s standards-setting agenda. 

Accreditation Leadership 

  • Set AACSB’s global accreditation strategy and oversee its implementation. 
  • Safeguard the integrity, rigor, relevance, and consistent application of AACSB standards and accreditation processes across diverse educational, cultural, regulatory, and economic environments. 
  • Uphold the independence, impartiality, confidentiality, and credibility of accreditation decisions through robust conflict-of-interest safeguards, due process, and quality assurance practices. 
  • Partner with the Global Accreditation Committee and its operational committees to oversee accreditation activities worldwide, including initial accreditation, continuous improvement reviews, accounting accreditation, policy development, peer review processes, and related quality assurance activities. 
  • Develop AACSB’s global network of mentors, peer review teams, committee members, and other volunteers to support high-quality accreditation and continuous improvement. 
  • Periodically review and improve accreditation processes to ensure they remain comprehensive, relevant, supportive of innovation, and focused on continuous improvement. 
  • Establish measures to assess and enhance the quality, consistency, efficiency, stakeholder experience, impact, and demonstrated value of AACSB accreditation. 

Global Engagement 

  • Build strategic relationships with business schools, quality assurance agencies, government bodies, professional associations, and other stakeholders to strengthen AACSB’s influence and the global quality assurance ecosystem. 
  • Represent AACSB in global forums and partnerships, advancing informed dialogue on standards, accreditation, and the future of quality business education. 
  • Collaborate across AACSB to ensure its standards, accreditation principles, and quality agenda are accurately and consistently reflected in member engagement, learning and events, research, publications, and other organizational initiatives. 

Enterprise and Strategic Leadership

  • Serve as an active member of the Executive Team, supporting the President and CEO in shaping and executing AACSB’s enterprise strategy and advancing its long-term growth, organizational performance, culture, and transformation in collaboration with the Board of Directors and executive colleagues. 
  • Strengthen AACSB’s position as the global authority on standards setting and quality business education while enhancing the value delivered to members and stakeholders. 
  • Work across organizational boundaries to align priorities, integrate capabilities, resolve enterprise-wide challenges, and advance AACSB’s overall success. 
  • Contribute deep expertise in business education, standards, accreditation, and quality assurance to strengthen AACSB’s strategy, offerings, thought leadership, and stakeholder value. 
  • Model AACSB’s values and foster a culture of trust, collaboration, accountability, innovation, and inclusivity throughout the organization. 

Functional Leadership 

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global standards and accreditation team that exemplifies accountability, innovation, inclusion, and excellence in member service. 
  • Translate enterprise and functional strategy into clear priorities, operating plans, performance measures, and measurable outcomes. 
  • Ensure effective delivery of standards and accreditation programs, balancing rigor, quality, consistency, member experience, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. 
  • Establish clear organizational structures, decision rights, responsibilities, and governance practices across the function. 
  • Manage the function’s budget, talent, technology, and resources while contributing to sustainable portfolio growth, strategic priorities, and long-term organizational value. 
  • Identify and manage strategic, legal, operational, financial, and reputational risks associated with AACSB’s standards and accreditation activities. 

Undertake other responsibilities as requested by the President and CEO to advance AACSB’s mission, priorities, and organizational success.

Requirements

Required Qualifications 

  • Terminal academic degree (PhD or equivalent) 
  • At least 15 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in business education, academic administration, accreditation, quality assurance, including a minimum of three years as a dean or in an equivalent leadership role at an AACSB-accredited school. 
  • Deep understanding of global business education with substantial knowledge of AACSB’s Global Standards for Business Education™ and accreditation processes. 
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is preferred. 
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 30 percent of the time, including occasional weekends. 
  • Willingness and ability to relocate to and reside in Tampa, Florida, USA.

As the Member Engagement Coordinator, you will provide administrative and membership team support for the membership functions for the EMEA region. This role involves administrative, operational, and logistical support to ensure seamless execution of member engagement activities. The MEC reports to the Vice President, EMEA Growth & Engagement.

How You Will Contribute

  1. Maintain and update membership data in the CRM system and tracks records. Run reports and pull data from the CRM for the Membership team. Ensure that membership data in the CRM system is accurate, up to date, and complies with data governance standards. 
  2. Proficiently uses AACSB’s systems (Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Monday.com, MS Teams, SharePoint, and other technologies as needed).
  3. Respond to daily inquiries and troubleshoot minor concerns or issues, escalating significant concerns to the appropriate team member. 
  4. Schedule and coordinate meetings and outreach events as appropriate.
  5. Prepare presentations and materials relating to AACSB International to be used during outreach activities and external events. 
  6. Monitors and manages the membership mailbox, routing inquiries or responding directly where appropriate. 
  7. Perform duties in accordance with AACSB International’s Mission and Values.

Requirements

  • Fluency in the English language.
  • At least three years of relevant experience in an administrative specialist role 
  • Associate’s degree in a business-related field 
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems, Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Word), and other related software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five years of administrative specialist support
  • Prior experience working for a membership association and/or in higher education
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
  • Prior experience working with a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM), such as Salesforce
  • Experience working with cross-functional and/or global teams
